AKC Fast CAT (Coursing Ability Test) is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run individually down a straight track chasing a mechanical lure. It is an inclusive, beginner-friendly American Kennel Club sport open to all purebred and mixed-breed dogs at least 12 months old. How the Sport Works: Dogs run one at a time over a straight 100-yard course. One person releases the dog at the start line, while the owner or a catcher waits at the finish line to call and catch them. The running time is converted into miles per hour (MPH). Points are calculated using a handicap based on the dog's height at the withers. Fast Cat is not only great FUN!, it is also an AKC Event. You & your Dog, can enter AKC Fast Cat Trials, to Earning Titles & Ribbons.
